Digital products

Ebooks, downloads and online seminars, when they exist. Nothing is on sale yet. This is a pointer for when they are, not legal advice.

A working draft — not legal advice

This is a working draft for me to review. It is not legal advice. Safeguarding, insurance and data protection should be checked by a qualified person before I rely on this with the people I support.

Nothing is on sale yet

I am putting together written guides and ebooks, and I plan to offer the same material through online seminars. None of that is for sale on this site yet. This page is here so the rules are thought about before a buy button appears.

This is a pointer, not legal advice. Consumer rules change, and they depend on how something is sold. Before I sell anything, this should be checked by a qualified person, and the checkout on whatever shop I use should match what I say here.

Ebooks and downloads

For most things bought online, UK customers normally have 14 days to change their mind.

Instant downloads are different. That 14-day right can be given up, but only if the checkout is clear: you agree to get the file straight away, and you acknowledge you are giving up the right to cancel. If that wording is not on the checkout, I should not assume the right has gone.

I have not chosen a shop yet. When I have, I will name it on the resources page and make sure this page still matches.

Seminars

Online seminars are not the same as a download. They are a session at a particular time, covering similar material to the guides. Cancellation and refunds for a seminar are a separate question from an ebook.

Still being decided

I have not set seminar dates, prices, or a cancellation rule for them. When I have, they will be written here in plain English, not left as a guess.
